The CM pointed out that the railway network in the state was one of the lowest as compared to West Bengal, Bihar and Tamil Nadu. He said since an accelerated rail development fund was set up, the same could be used preferentially to clear the backlog of pending projects of the state so that the imbalance can be reduced . Rosaiah said that the railway ministry could even consider taking up some of these projects on public-private partnership mode. He also said that the state has been deprived of both funds and new projects for several years and that the people in AP were unhappy about it.
