Jr NTR gets KCR daughters T threat - Says Adurs Screening Will Be Disrupted Unless He Makes His Stand Clear On T

After TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, its the turn of his daughter K Kavitha to issue threats over Telangana and Tollywood appears to be the favourite whipping boy. On Monday, the axe fell on Junior NTR after Kavitha, who heads TRS cultural wing Telangana Jagruti, threatened to disrupt screening of the actors Adurs scheduled for Sankranti unless the actor makes his stand clear on the issue. She said that the TRS will stage protests in front of cinemas till the actor responds.

While the actor did not respond directly , he reacted via his spokesperson, who told TOI: I appeal to all to cooperate in the films release. As an actor I am here to entertain people of all regions. And whatever is the popular opinion on this issue, it is that which will finally prevail. His father N Harikrishna has already stated his support for a united AP. Earlier in the day, addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, TRS chief s daughter said: We will not allow screening of Adurs . I appeal to film distributors to desist from releasing the prints in Nizam territory until the actor makes his stand clear. Jr NTR campaigned for the TDP in the last election. The TDP leaders, including Jr NTR and N Chandrababu Naidu, are strong supporters of united AP. So, as member of the NTR family and being an active supporter of the TDP, Jr NTR must spell out his stand.

She also targeted Adurs producer V Vamshi Mohan for supporting the TDP and contesting as the party candidate from Vijayawada in 2009 LS polls. When asked what the TRS would do if Jr NTR bats for a united AP, KCRs daughter had this to say: We are not against people who support a united AP. We are only taking on those who are opposing our agitation for a separate state, like Vijayawada Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Vamshi.

Adurs is a big budget film (over Rs 30 crore, say sources) and Jr NTR is banking on it as his two previous films bombed at the box office. It was slated for release in Dec. but was put off due to the Telangana trouble. Apart from Adurs , other films slated for Sankranti include the Venkatesh-starrer Namo Venkatesa , Om Shanti and Shambo Shiva Shambo . A worried senior producer said: We are completely at sea. The state government and the police assure us that protection will be given. At stake is nearly Rs 120 crore for the season.
